ALLOCATION OF THE 2017 GRANT FOR RESEARCH IN NEW YORK

The 3rd Research Grant of the Arquia Foundation, convened in collaboration with the Royal Academy of Fine Art of San Fernando for the development of a research project in New York has been awarded.

The jury unanimously decided to grant the award of the 3rd call for the 2017 grant for research in New York to:

The New York Factory. Architectural strategies laboratory. 1960-present, by Angela Juarranz Serrano.

For its rich approach, which arouses confidence and high expectations in its development, boosted by the scope of the destination city. 

Runner-up:

Leftovers. Exploring the byproducts of the grid, by Marta López Marcos

Special mentions:

  1. Living in the digital era. Collaborative models for the city of New York, by Lucia De Molina Benavides.
  2. From Olivia Russell Sage to Jane Jacobs: women in international urban planning networks, by Maria Cristina García González.
  3. Architecture from experience. For a teaching of space, by Queralt Garriga Gimeno.
  4. John Cage, the non-music of non-architecture, by Miguel Guerra Mirón.
