Propuesta para el Concurso internacional Florim4architects Exhib-it!. Diseño de pabellón expositor.

NARA is a physical manifesto representing FLORIM’s ceramic-making process, to showcase the brand’s achievements. This manifesto is defined by three main concepts: identifying the essence of ceramic, an innovative expression of FLORIM’s principles and a sustainable production method. From the raw material needed to produce ceramic, to the technological and innovative methods applied, finalysing in successful results visible in architecture works. These concepts are materialyzed in one single installation, shaped by diferent materials. Sand is used to ‘sustain’ a ‘floating’ container. This container must enhance the company’s technological and innovative principles, and to achieve this, a textile material that expresses lightness, softness and flexibility is used. As a container, its’ interior will have a new, tranquil and serene atmosphere for people to experience.

Due to its’ temporality, NARA is a zero waste installation, using recycled and upcycling (have another future use) materials. Scaffolding bars are used for the structure, avoiding the manufacturing of a precise structure specific for this installation. The sand and the nylon threads used for the container are materials that will not be processed or manipulated, allowing a future use once the installation is dismantled. Visitors will be able to walk around NARA and visualize all its corners. Visitors must access through the back, surrounding one side and for the way out, they will walk through the opposite side. This will ensure a constant flow of people around the installation. NARA will also act as a pedestrian call, where it must be visible in the exterior and people should feell invited to go inside the building and experience NARA.
