The works and professional career development of Prada Poole are unique in
the history of contemporary Spanish architecture. He is a forgotten architect in
this very context that, because of the magnitude and implications both of his
projects and his career, owes to be a research goal in an analytical and
referential perspective outlining a knowledge structure. This paper studies his
work and the aspects that merge it in close relationship not only with the cultural
background but also in a autoreferential way setting up a managed information
basis about PhD architect Prada Poole.
It is prior studied the architectural production of Prada Poole, both built as well
as merely projected, and theorectical aspects necessary to the comprenhesion
of his work are shown. Theory and project are also inquired about,
contextualizing them within the close references in order that the outline of the
analysis allows a more acqurate reading to be.
It is finally conlude, setting Prada Poole in the counter-cultural avant-garde
Spanish archiotecture, and arguing the contributions of his research and very
projects. Prosposing at last a synoptic vision that sets up his work and theory,
outiling at the same time a series of perspectives of future works.

La obra y trayectoria de Prada Poole son únicas en la historia de la arquitectura

española contemporánea. Es un arquitecto olvidado en este contexto y que, por

la magnitud y relevancia tanto de su obra como de su trayectoria, merece ser

objeto de investigación a nivel analítico y referencial definiendo una estructura

de conocimiento. Este texto estudia su obra y los aspectos que la disponen en

relación con su contexto cultural así como autorreferencial creando una base

de información elaborada sobre el maestro Prada Poole.

Se estudia principalmente la producción arquitectónica de Prada Poole, tanto

construída como únicamente proyectada, y se muestran los aspectos teóricos

necesarios para la comprensión de su obra. Además se indaga sobre esa

teoría y ese proyecto contextualizándolos con sus referentes directos para que

la definición del análisis realizado permita una lectura más ajustada.

Se concluye finalmente, situando a Prada Poole dentro de la vanguardia

contracultural española, y razonando los aportes de sus investigaciones y

proyectos concretos. Proponiendo en definitiva una visión sinóptica que

contextualice su obra y su teoría, proyectando al mismo tiempo un serie de

perspectivas de trabajo futuras.
