The current growth of the cities is a problem in which the architects have turned into a few luxurious spectators, with no real capacity of acting. The urban planning nowadays is based principally on political decisions that are not always conscious of the consequences that later define areas of high ecological, geopolitical and social impact.

The architects must recover a place in the generating process of the cities and propose imaginative, coherent and sustainable solutions that turn problems into “points of opportunity”.

It is fundamental to emphasize that there are no global laws of “urban generation” capable of adapting to all the territories. Each area presents a few peculiarities that make it unique so that each one needs specific solutions adapting to intrinsic qualities and to lacks or excesses of each place.

A very important aspect while working, must be planning a route map that guarantees a coherence along all the stages to carry on. Our route map is based on five fundamental concepts, generated by the "points of opportunity" that we have detected in the environment:

ACUPUNCTURE: we do not believe in performances that conceive the place as a blank page where to build in an indiscriminate way. We think that the project must detect the fundamental points of conflict and insert "curative" elements that settle on the area generating a progressive influence of exponential effect.

SEWING: the empty spaces generated in the cities difficult the socioeconomic growth and cause problems of interrelationship among the areas. We propose to sew the different areas of the city that have remained divided and to break the barriers with the insertion of routes that establish virtual and physical relationships between different users.

MEANDERS: A meander means the possibility of materializing this "sewing" that we want to gener

Beneath the combination of materials, shapes, structures and shades an "artificial nature" in generated, an open-air, dynamical and plural space created for the interaction with its users.
