When the structure can be preserved almost in its entirety, and an addition of green urban public space can be made, thus improving urban accessibility and the quality of life and health of its inhabitants. Thus, by extending the usable surfaces and crowning the project with a rooftop that is a landmark of sustainability, it is possible to make an impact on a local, municipal, regional scale... In a world where tons of construction debris are produced every day, "Breaking the Mould" proposes the rehabilitation of the Alfredo Mahou Tower, located in the financial centre of Madrid, Spain.
