Los movimientos de Jackson Pollock sobre sus lienzos, dispuestos en el suelo de su taller sobre los que dejaba descuidadamente caer la pintura desde su pincel, dieron nombre a la pintura de acción, the action painting, la cual no puede entenderse sin ese dinamismo impuesto y sin duda necesario. Aunque la RAE acepte como acción otras formas de hacer, las acciones y reacciones a las que nos referimos son fundamentalmente aquellas que necesitan del movimiento, de lo dinámico.
Esta tesis nos invita a aproximarnos al conocimiento de la arquitectura a través del estudio y entendimiento de las acciones y también reacciones que se dan en sus procesos de generación, la mayoría decididas desde el posicionamiento activo y provocador del arquitecto. Un actor que a través de su propia acción es capaz, a su vez, de generar otras acciones en aquellos que finalmente habitasen esas arquitecturas bien como reactores o, también, otra vez, como nuevamente actores en su experiencia con el mundo. Acciones generadas desde la acción, o también, la arquitectura desde sus acciones y sus reacciones.
La constelación conformada por la multitud de ejemplos que comparten este fondo de escena han sido reordenados mediante una metodología próxima a los archivos a través de las legibles insinuaciones detectadas desde los enunciados ciertos de los que partimos. Los muchos ejemplos recolectados, acumulados y analizados en este trabajo de alguna forma se relacionan con la arquitectura, o con estos conceptos capaces de darle forma, para acabar explicándola desde esas posiciones que accionan determinadas movilidades o implican un activo dinamismo de las partes, ciertamente lejos de otras más tradicionales y ligadas a lo estático y gravitatorio, características de obras más concentradas en sí mismas, digamos, más centrípetas y objetuales.
