BARQ Festival

BARQ Festival, the only International Architecture Film Festival in Spain, unveils the full programme and parallel activities for its first edition, which will be held on 11-16 May 2021.
The screenings of the 9 feature films and 11 short films selected can be enjoyed at the Cinemes Girona in Barcelona and the Disseny HUB, and will also be available on the
Filmin Spain platform during the festival.
The programme includes debates and conferences at other venues throughout the city, such as the Fundació Joan Miró de Barcelona, the MACBA, the Filmoteca de Catalunya, the Barcelona Roca Gallery and the Barcelona Pavilion, both in person and online.

The documentaries of the BARQ Festival immerse visitors in architectural cinema and present
current social issues that raise debates of general interest, which will be
voiced through round tables and talks featuring renowned professionals
from the country's architecture sector: communicators, journalists, filmmakers, curators and
directors of entities. All of them will create a framework for reflection and broaden the
discussion space for the stories told in the documentaries, such as access to
housing, sustainability, inclusion, gender debate or public space. It will serve as an
opportunity to delve into human stories through architecture, the stage of
our lives.
