Enric Miralles

The Arquia Foundation has held three editions of the Enric Miralles Award for young architects, with the goal of highlighting the work of young Spanish professionals and contributing to their knowledge and promotion.

Designed to pay tribute to the memory of the architect Enric Miralles and his work, the award has been added to the activities of the each call of the Spanish Architecture Biennial.

The candidate work is selected from those presented to the Spanish Architecture Biennial, built by Spanish architects inside or outside Spain, whose author had not reached the age of forty on the date of the act of commencement of the work.

The award, €15,000, also commissions the author to prepare and direct a project for subsidized housing on a site belonging to the Municipal Housing Company of the Madrid City Council
