The grant includes a place on the Barcelona Activa Social Entrepreneurship Programme, consisting of weekly sessions for 6 months that include training to prepare the business plan, in entrepreneurial skills, follow-up tutorials and entrepreneurial experiences.
Besides Barcelona Activa's services and resources, the Arquia Foundation will make one (1) adviser, who is renowned in the field of managing professional development in architecture, available for the architect interns from the first day, who will tutor the entire project through face-to-face and online sessions. This mentoring process will focus on decision-making and will guide the intern throughout the process of preparing the business plan and analysing its viability. Where possible, it will also provide the intern with contacts and the information required to work successfully on their business project. In this edition, it is the responsibility of Mónica Bonafonte, Managing Director of FAD, to tutor the grant winner.
With the aim of standardising the opportunities for participation on a national level, the Arquia Foundation will give a 7,000 euros grant to the grant winner to help with travel costs, allowing them to attend all Barcelona Activa sessions and, some of their team, to attend the accompaniment sessions, should they deem it necessary.
The Arquia Foundation will provide the grant winner with coverage under the terms of the travel insurance policy contracted through Arquiseguros brokerage.
