Debates in the Pavilion

Debates in the Pavilion: New Narrative for Europe and Coup de Dés

This series includes debates and dialogues that have taken place in the German Pavilion in Barcelona, organised by the Mies van der Rohe Foundation.

In this iconic setting, the future of European architecture was discussed in the debate called "European identity and European Architecture", included in the framework of the project New Narrative for Europe promoted by the European Commission in 2014.

Likewise, in this space, the debates Coup de Dés (dice rolling) took place, where architects, critics and academics talked to detect the different currents of thought in the architectural environment. The debate was prompted by the presentation of several projects by their authors. Each exhibition was followed by a talk between the architect and a critic who proposed a new interpretation of the project, raising a debate open to the public. In this cycle the conferences held in the 2007 and 2008 editions can be accessed.

The viewing of these audiovisual materials in arquia/film library is possible thanks to the collaboration and authorisation of the Fundació Mies van der Rohe.
