UN-Habitat: Global Urban Lectures Season 3

Global Urban Lectures. Season 3

The UN-Habitat Global Urban Lecture Series are free online resources for academics and researchers that work towards sustainable urban development.

Each lecture includes a package of related material found on the UN-Habitat website: speaker biography, synopsis and related links. The speakers have been recruited from UN-Habitat partners and associated experts working in UN-Habitat's areas of interest.

The third season features debates on gender inclusion in urban planning, city transformation and resilience in relation to low carbon emissions, affordable housing, geospatial technologies for slum mapping, the use of open-data to transform slum upgrading processes, as well as transportation systems, etc. and features interventions byAna Falu (Argentine architect, academic and human rights social activist), Sheela Patel (activist and academic who works with people who live in irregular settlements) andSteffen Lehmann (architect and urban designer), among others.

The viewing of this audiovisual on arquia/film library is possible thanks to the collaboration and permission of UN-Habitat
